There are thousands of female athletes who have made it big on the global stage of athletics and sports but very few have managed to set an example of a holistic life. Erin Stern, the 2010 IFBB Miss Figure Olympia Champion, epitomizes beauty, a healthy and fit body and also signifies women empowerment. Ever since she was a child, she would passionately ride horses and for fun would run next to her horse and jump fences with him. Her parents suggested that she should try out for the track team in high school. She went on to compete in the high jump, pentathlon, and heptathlon for the University of Florida, and was a Jr. All-American and Co-Captain of the team while at UF. While competing in high jump in 2008, she missed the Olympic Qualifying Standard in the category by 3 cm. This near miss prompted her to try and be competitive in a different sport: Figure. She earned her IFBB Pro Card by winning the Overall Figure Championship at NPC Nationals in 2008, which was her third show! Erin bagged her first title as the 2010 IFBB Miss Figure Olympia Champion.
A graduate from the University of Florida, Erin Stern has a BA in Environmental Policy and is presently a Realtor, contest prep consultant and a writer. We have had many famous women who have graced multiple careers and with equal élan but not many in the past have managed to pursue ambitions and harbor aspirations as diverse as what Erin Stern has been successful in accomplishing.
